iGarden M1-AI Series review

The M1-AI Series is iGarden's answer to the growing field of AI-navigated robotic pool cleaners, and it comes in four runtime tiers so buyers aren't forced to overpay for battery life they don't need. All four models share the same AI brain and climbing hardware; the difference is purely how long they run between charges, and how much that costs.

AI navigation is the headline feature

Every M1-AI model uses iGarden's Bionic AI Dual-Vision system with 3D mapping and a 3D S-Path planning algorithm, run on a 6 TOPS NPU processor. In plain terms, the robot builds a map of the pool as it goes and plots overlapping-free cleaning paths instead of wandering randomly. iGarden says the onboard AI can identify more than 40 types of debris and, in AI Target mode, clear roughly 99% of it within a 20-minute focused clean. Those are manufacturer claims we haven't independently verified, but the underlying tech (camera-based mapping plus a dedicated debris-recognition chip) is a real step up from the ultrasonic or gyroscope-only navigation most cleaners still use.

Suction and climbing built for tougher jobs

The M1-AI pairs its navigation with genuinely strong hardware: up to 19,000 LPH (about 5,019 GPH) of suction through a Dual-Force Flow System, and a Dual-Grip Traction system designed to grip steps, corners, and pool walls rather than just the floor. iGarden also lists a "300% Turbo" mode on its Amazon listing for extra pickup on stubborn debris. Combined with One-Touch Waterline Return, the robot is built to leave the scum line looking clean without you having to fish it out and finish the job by hand.

Four runtime tiers, four price points

This is where the M1-AI Series gets interesting for shoppers. The M1-AI 45 runs about 4.5 hours and starts around $999 on sale ($1,299 list). Step up to the M1-AI 90 (about 9 hours) for roughly $1,399 ($2,199 list), the M1-AI 125 (about 12.5 hours) for around $1,799 ($2,699 list), or the top M1-AI 160 (about 16 hours) for around $2,149 ($2,999 list). The 125 and 160 are sold only through iGarden's own store, not Amazon, so if you want Prime-style buying and returns, you're limited to the 45 or 90.

Filtration and hands-off maintenance

iGarden's Amazon listing specifies a dual-layer filtration setup, a 60-micron layer plus a 150-micron layer, feeding a 4.5-liter top-load debris basket that's easy to pop out and rinse. The M1-AI is fully cordless with auto-parking at the end of a cycle, app control for starting cleans and checking status, and an AI Timer that can schedule up to 30 days of maintenance-free cleaning. iGarden backs the whole line with a 3-year warranty, longer than most cleaners in this price range.

The trade-offs

None of this comes cheap, and the 125 and 160 models push well past what most mid-range robotic cleaners cost. iGarden also hasn't published weight, dimensions, charge time, or battery capacity in watt-hours, so you're buying partly on trust for the specs that aren't listed. And because this is a first-generation AI flagship, there's no multi-year track record yet on how the camera system or traction motors hold up.
